Prepositions of time:

• in — месяцы, годы, времена года: in July, in 2024, in winter

• at — часы и точное время суток: at 7 o’clock, at night

Prepositions of place:
• in — внутри: in the room, in Tiraspol
• on — на поверхности: on the table, on the wall
• at — у, возле, точка: at the door, at the bus stop, at school

Prepositions of time

• on → days, dates, holidays: on Friday, on 25th December, on New Year’s Day

Prepositions of Time

We use:
• in for longer periods: in 1999, in winter, in the 21st century
• on for specific days and dates: on Sunday, on 10th July, on my birthday
• at for precise times and short fixed expressions: at 6 p.m., at noon, at night, at the weekend

Prepositions of Place
• in → enclosed or defined spaces (in the box, in the city, in a building).
• on → surfaces or lines (on the table, on the street, on the coast).
• at → points or specific locations (at home, at work, at the airport, at the bus stop).

Fixed phrases:
at the top / bottom, in front of, behind, next to, between, opposite.
